Our Soleau Community

At Soleau, community is at the heart of everything we do. Born on our family farm in Monmouthshire, Soleau was created to offer beautifully refreshing Welsh spring water in sustainable aluminium cans, and to build something meaningful for the people and places around us.

We are proud to support local charities, grassroots sports clubs, schools and community initiatives that share our values. From helping young people learn about sustainability through our "Hello Soleau, Goodbye Plastic" school projects, to backing local teams and causes close to home, we believe small businesses can make a real difference when they stay connected to their roots.

As a family-run, female-founded business, we care deeply about creating opportunities locally. Whether that is providing meaningful employment for young people, working with nearby suppliers where we can, or using our platform to raise awareness around plastic reduction, our aim is to grow in a way that gives back.

Soleau is more than water in a can. It is a celebration of Welsh provenance, sustainable choices and the power of community - one can, one conversation and one positive change at a time.

Educational Support

At Soleau, we believe looking after our planet should start young. Not with lectures or scary statistics, but with simple ideas that get young people thinking, talking and taking action.

That’s why we created Hello Soleau, Goodbye Plastic — our educational project helping children and young people understand the impact of single-use plastic and discover the difference their everyday choices can make.

From the bottle we drink from to the things we throw away, the project brings sustainability into everyday life. We make big environmental issues easier to understand, encourage questions and show that positive change doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Because telling the next generation there’s a problem isn’t enough. We want to give them the knowledge and confidence to help change it.

Grassroot Sports

Before the crowds, the trophies and the big occasions, there’s grassroots sport.

It’s where people first discover a love of the game, where friendships are made and where communities come together. And it deserves support.

At Soleau, we’re proud to support grassroots sport and the people who make it happen — from local clubs and young players to the coaches, volunteers and families giving up their time every week.

Our support is about helping sport stay accessible, giving young people more opportunities to get involved and backing the clubs at the heart of their communities.

Because every player has to start somewhere.

Volunteering

Community matters to us. And that doesn’t stop when the working day does.

Every member of the Soleau team volunteers their time outside of Soleau, supporting local organisations, clubs and community initiatives that matter to them.

Sara, Soleau’s founder, sits on the board of Pontypool Ski Racing, supporting a local club dedicated to developing and encouraging the next generation of ski racers.

Several of our team are also closely involved with the Usk Agricultural Show. Mark, our Production Manager, is Chairman of the Usk Show; Annie volunteers as Assistant to the Show Secretary; and Dom and Millie help keep things moving as Main Ring Assistants.

Different people. Different passions. One shared belief that being part of a community means giving something back.

We’re proud of what our team does beyond Soleau. Not because they have to, but because they choose to.
